The Fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9th, 1989 was an epic event that led to major historical changes in the world’s political, economic and cultural landscape. In the tumultuous aftermath, the world has witnessed the emergence of dozens of new States in Eastern Europe. Significant transformations occurred in other continents around the globe that laid the foundation for the new world order we live today.
On November 9th, 2019, the world will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and all eyes will again look to the German capital. Around this historical event, the Inter Parliamentary Alliance for Human Rights and Global Peace (IPAHP), the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy and other leadings institutions will host an international summit from November 6th-10th, 2019. On the evening of November 9, world-renowned singers and bands will perform a peace concert, paying tribute to the past 30 years without the Wall.
The summit will include participation of senior politicians representing 150 states, political theorists, religious leaders, executives of major corporations, chief diplomats, and celebrated artists that will travel to Berlin.
The large-scale events taking place during the summit will highlight the fields of international relations, economics, peace building, human rights, arts and culture.
